Just Call Me Scatter-Brained

I have to admit, most of my summer posts have been a little bit bland. I will blame it on a busy schedule and long, boring To Do lists. Don't get me wrong, I actually love all the little projects I do around the house but I was starting to see how similar they were becoming. I hope you will find this one a bit more interesting and creative. The best part is...it's super-easy!

You'll be happy to know that I have almost run out of orange spray paint. I am not sure what was going to end up orange next, but, I still love it. I actually painted the frame I am showing here on an earlier post & asked for usage suggestions....and got none so I had to think of something to do all on my own!

You may recall my obsession with my eight fabulous nieces & nephews. I will find myself struggling when I see something adorable for a particular one but don't buy it because it would be unfair to the others. Even though I am not a parent, I do get the whole fairness battle that parents must constantly fight. With that in mind, I cannot in good conscience hang artwork or pictures from one without something from all of them. This is particularly difficult given that some of them are much too old to give me school-made artwork & certainly do not appreciate my taking their picture while eating Cheetos...(what? she looked super-cute!)

I can assure you that this project is fair & balanced. I decided to do a letter scramble of all of their names with the larger letters representing each one's first name.

I will save you the boring details of how I spray-painted each letter but I will tell you this; it took three coats of spray paint to get each one covered which was a bit more time consuming that I originally planned. Each letter is hung with Elmer's tack. This entire project cost me about $15 and I LOVE it!

I think it turned out pretty cute. I am actually missing two large letters: R & G. Michael's has been out of these for ages but I will get them eventually. This hangs on a wall that I see right as I walk into my home office which leads into my little craft room. My nieces & nephews all love playing in my craft room so it is nice to have a little reminder of them on that wall in particular. Enjoy!
